This is one of Malindi’s most intriguing sights. Located just a few kilometers from Malindi Town, Hell’s Kitchen or Nyari (‘the place broken by itself’) is a sandstone canyon depression that occurred naturally and covers at least 4 acres of land, at place called Marafa, Kilifi County.
The place has jungle, red rock and cliffs that heave themselves into a stunning Mars-like landscape that is striking to watch at sunset- the sandstone reveals hues of whites, pinks, oranges, and deep crimson.
