Important Tips for Staycation Photography Part 1 (Equipment)

It is the first impression that attracts the client; hence, it is impossible to overstate the importance of photos. That’s why have put together various tips for staycation photography. In this first part of a two-part series, we will get into the necessary equipment required, alongside the types of shots that will improve your staycation online visibility.

Get a Wide-angle Lens

First and foremost, a wide-angle lens is a must-have item of gear. A wide-angle lens allows you to capture beautiful images in tight or narrow spaces, such as a small room. It also makes rooms appear more spacious, which is a big plus.

Use a Tripod

The second vital piece of gear is the tripod. A tripod is a solid item of gear for real estate photography. It gives you the option of setting up your camera at the same, consistent height, room to room. It will also ensure your real estate images appear clean and in focus. Therefore it avoids blurriness and haze caused by a sudden movement of your camera or a shaky hand.

Invest in a Flash

Photographing real estate, you never really know what you’re walking into and it’s good to be prepared, especially in low light settings. A flash, such as a monolight or a flashgun, will help to compensate for low light and make it easier for you to take bright, clean photos.

Shoot Aerial Shots

Aerial photography can be a great way to get stunning exterior images of property from above, revealing the entire property and the surrounding area. It is a perfect way to get establishing shots of the property’s general area.  All you need to achieve aerial shots is a drone.
